Pulse is currently seeking a determined Band 8a/8b Clinical Psychologist in Adult Mental Health (AMH) to be welcomed into our client’s facility, within a fantastic private trust based in Wilmslow, Cheshire. This position will be available for the assigned Clinical Psychologist to start as soon as possible, working full-time hours for an initial period on a permanent basis. The Clinical Psychologist will undertake assessments, formulate care plans, and deliver therapeutic interventions for adults with complex mental health needs. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be required to provide highly specialist psychological assessments of inmates based upon the appropriate use, interpretation and integration of complex data from a variety of sources, including historical records, psychological and neuropsychological tests, self-report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with clients, family members and others involved in the client’s care. The successful candidate will provide advisory and consultative service on clients’ psychological care to multidisciplinary teams, to non-psychologist colleagues, as well as to other non-professional carers and to workers of other agencies where appropriate. To be considered for this role, you must: Hold a doctorate in Clinical Psychology Be HCPC registered Minimum 1 year post qualification Must have prison experience Have a proven track record in adult mental health Be analytical and show good attention to detail What next?
