Provide policy and specialist advice to the Minister, Director General, Deputy Director General, Conservation and Parks Commission and other relevant parties.

Create a strategic direction for the division, aligned with the department's strategic directions and values, and provides leadership, creativity and initiative.

Ensure sound strategic, operational and business planning and management for the division.

Provide leadership of change management initiatives relevant to the department and the division.
