Job description Job Title: EHCP Writer – Hybrid Location: Barking (Hybrid Working) Pay Rate: £280-£300 per day Job Type: Contract | Full-Time or Part-TimeAs an EHCP Writer, you will play a crucial role in drafting and reviewing Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), ensuring they are clear, accurate, and fully compliant with statutory guidance. Key Responsibilities: Write and update high-quality EHCPs in line with the SEND Code of Practice. Liaise with parents, schools, health and social care professionals to gather and integrate information. Ensure outcomes and provisions are specific, measurable, and tailored to each child’s needs. Maintain accurate records and work to statutory timescales. Requirements: Strong knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and EHCP processes. Previous experience writing or coordinating EHCPs within a local authority or education setting. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage caseloads effectively and meet deadlines. Right to work in the UK. Desired: Experience in a SEND Case officer, coordinator role.
