What you will enjoy doing- This is an exciting opportunity to join us as a Branch Manager at Thame - our UK helium site Thame isn't just a branch; it's a hub of innovation and impact, as here we partner with Siemens to deliver critical helium used in the production of life-saving MRI machines, contributing to cutting-edge healthcare and transforming lives
- As Branch Manager, you'll oversee the daily cylinder filling and handling operations to ensure our site operates efficiently, safely, and sustainably, build positive partnerships, ensure objectives are achieved and lead a forward thinking and dedicated team
- You will be responsible for leading the site's compliance, internal & regulatory standards, objectives and targets aligned to the company's strategic vision and goals
- In addition, you will be managing a team of Production Shift Leaders, an Asset Controller and distribution team, as well as the operations team at Siemens and both maintenance teams
- As part of managing a great team of people, you will identify, lead and inspire their continuous competency development through upskilling and learning opportunities
- You will ensure that the bespoke multi-million-pound equipment and specialist team at Siemens are engaged and motivated to do their best and achieve their key performance measures
- Furthermore, this role has the exciting opportunity to seek improvements in the way in which we do things, as you will be actively involved in leading best practice and continuous improvement initiatives on site
- And as the site landlord, you will lead the way in fostering a safe, inclusive, rewarding, engaging and welcoming space for all
- You have previous working experience in a similar role, have completed a Higher National Certificate (HNC) or Higher National Diploma (HND), or even in the processing of completing, with the commitment to achieve this
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels and establish positive relationships with others both internally and externally
- You have an understanding of ISO standards, which help to ensure we work in safe and consistent way, meeting the global quality and safety standards in our processes and systems
- Furthermore, you have experience of, and enjoy managing, motivating and inspiring a team to succeed and be their best
- You work with integrity and role model the behaviours required to be a safe and inclusive workplace
- If you already have a NEBOSH National General Certificate that would be an advantage, however this is something we can sponsor but we'd like a willingness to want to work towards this
- If you have experience of a cylinder filling operation or experience within an industrial environment this would be beneficial but not essential
