Band 6 – Occupational Therapist – Paediatric – Devon Pulse is currently seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist with expertise in paediatric care to start immediately for an initial period of 3 months, located in Yelverton, Devon. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical occupational therapy assessments and intervention to children and young people aged between 0-19. The role will involve a mix of clinic and community working, assessing a variety of conditions including functional skills assessments, ABC assessments and working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental conditions. Assess and evaluate paediatric patients to determine their occupational therapy needs. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address developmental challenges and improve functional abilities. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and other therapists, to ensure comprehensive patient care. Provide education and support to parents/caregivers on therapeutic interventions and home exercises. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting progress and modifications to treatment plans. Stay informed about current best practices, research, and advancements in paediatric occupational therapy. Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy. HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist. Proven experience working as a Band 6 Occupational Therapist, with a focus on paediatric care. Valid driver’s license with a reliable car. Having an understanding of the Education Health and Care Plan process. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures in paediatric occupational therapy. Why Pulse?
