Senior Frontend DeveloperLeeds - 1 day onsite per week6 Month Contract£600/day inside IR35About the Role Our client is seeking a Senior Frontend Engineer to join their Product Development team. In this hands-on role, you'll build high-performance, customer-facing applications for kiosk systems. You'll help shape frontend architecture, mentor junior engineers, and drive best practices across the team, focusing on technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain React/TypeScript applications using modern frameworksArchitect scalable, maintainable frontend systems with performance and accessibility in mindDrive improvements in code quality, testing, and toolingChampion responsive design and performance optimizationCollaborate with DevOps on CI/CD enhancementsMentor junior developers and foster a culture of learningContribute to component-driven architecture and design system evolutionParticipate in production support and incident responseWhat You'll BringStrong experience in JavaScript/TypeScript developmentExpert-level knowledge of React, TypeScript, and modern JSExperience with state management (Redux, Zustand, Context API)Deep understanding of performance optimization and accessibilityExperience with AWS, Docker, and advanced testing strategiesProven ability to mentor and influence technical decisionsAgile delivery and continuous improvement mindsetBonus PointsExperience with or PythonFamiliarity with Kubernetes or advanced AWS servicesExposure to kiosk or POS hardware interfacesAccessibility (WCAG) compliance expertisePersonal QualitiesStrategic thinker with a bias for actionPassionate about teaching and learningCollaborative and solution-focusedOwnership mindset and commitment to delivering customer valueShould this position be of interest please submit your CV and I will be in contact as required.
