Specialist Doctor in Emergency Medicine

Triple West Medical have been appointed by an NHS Trust based in North West England to help recruit a Specialist Doctor in Emergency Medicine. This post includes a discretionary bonus of 15% of basis salary, every year - up to 4 years (T&Cs apply). The applicant must have MBBS or equivalent medical degree, live current certification in: ALS/ACLS, ATLS/ETC, and APLS/EPLS, Full MRCEM/FRCEM. The Trust have over 6000 staff offering comprehensive range of acute and community services over a number of sites. You will be supported to reach your individual career goals whilst providing quality emergency care to our semi-rural population. The Emergency Departments at the main site currently sees over 44,000 attendances per year and have a fully accredited Trauma Unit. Brief Duties/Responsibilities:- Initial assessment and management of patients attending the Emergency Department, formulation of treatment plans, and onward referral or discharge of patients- Clinical involvement in the full spectrum of Emergency Department patients including resuscitation and assessment of seriously injured and ill patients, dealing with complex cases, paediatrics, and minor injuries- Gain increasing experience and competence in assisting consultants and senior nurses in running the shop floor, ensuring patients are being seen by appropriate staff in a timely fashion and that junior staff are appropriately supervised- Gain increasing experience and competence in maintaining flow of patients through the department and supporting the national Quality Indicators- Undertake administrative tasks such as review of X-Ray results and report writing- Participate in Quality Improvement and governance activities- Actively attend, participate, and contribute towards teaching sessions with and for the team - Maintain and develop own skills and learning and undertake annual appraisal- Maintain professional standards and obligations as set out in Good Medical Practice- Adhere to Trust Policies and GuidelinesOur Client is happy to issue Certificate of Sponsorships to suitably qualified overseas doctors.
