At Hinkley Point C (HPC), we are constructing two new nuclear reactors, marking the first of a new generation of nuclear power stations in the UK. Once operational, these reactors will provide low-carbon electricity to power around six million homes.
As the Project Manager , you'll report directly to a Senior Project Manager and be part of the WIC (Wrapping, Insulation, and Caulking) Area within the MEH (Mechanical, Electrical & HVAC) Programme.
You'll lead the full life cycle delivery of work packages, from concept through to installation, with package values of around £100 million. This includes overseeing engineering, procurement, manufacturing, and construction activities, all aligned with the Integrated Project schedule.
WIC is a highly ambitious and technically challenging scope and is essential to HPC operation. You'll ensure delivery meets safety, quality, time, and cost objectives for this iconic project.

What you'll be doing
In your role, you'll support the Senior Project Manager in developing strategies that align with the programme execution plan (PEP) for managing work. You'll maintain clear communication with stakeholders and assist in delivering contract activities safely and on time, ensuring they meet budget and technical requirements while tracking progress and providing regular updates.
You'll identify and resolve issues, manage risks, and escalate significant concerns to the Senior Project Manager. Collaboratively, you'll develop and maintain schedules that align with project timelines and promote lessons learned and knowledge sharing.
You'll ensure all contractual requirements are met and you'll help secure the resources needed for your project, ensuring qualified personnel are in place and promptly addressing any shortfalls.
Who you are
You are a knowledgeable project professional with a strong understanding of leadership and its application in complex projects. You possess numeracy, analytical, and critical reasoning skills, complemented by excellent presentation and influencing skills.
Ideally you should be educated to degree level (or equivalent experience) in a relevant engineering, construction, or related technical subject, and holding a professional qualification in Project Management, such as APM PPQ, is a plus.
Your background includes procurement and management of complex contracts, as well as effective control of costs, risks, schedules, and changes.
Additionally, you have successfully engaged multi-level stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
