Job Description German Speaking Buyer 📍 Location: Colchester, Essex (approx. 45 minutes by train from central London) About the Company Our client is a well-established international trading company that supplies specialist industrial equipment to leading businesses across a wide range of industries worldwide. The Role They are seeking a German Speaking Buyer to join their international team. This position involves handling product enquiries and orders from clients, as well as working closely with suppliers to source goods, negotiate terms, and ensure timely deliveries. Key Responsibilities Research, develop, and maintain relationships with vendors Obtain and evaluate pricing and quotations from suppliers Negotiate pricing and business terms with suppliers Prepare quotations and proposals for customers Place and manage purchase orders Track and expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery Liaise with warehouse and logistics teams to meet quality and delivery standards Support Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) activities Candidate Profile Fluent in German and English (both spoken and written) Additional language skills (e.g., Italian or Arabic) are a plus but not essential Strong administrative and organisational skills Experience in a customer-facing role required Previous experience in purchasing, buying, logistics, or shipping is desirable but not essential Confident communicator, particularly over the telephone Detail-oriented and able to multitask effectively Must have the right to live and work in the UK (visa sponsorship not available) Salary, Benefits & Working Hours Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum (depending on experience) Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30–13:00 and 14:00–17:00 (37.5 hours per week).
