NRL are proud to be partnering with AESC to recruit a permanent Senior Facility Engineering Manager based at their brand-new facility in Sunderland.

AESC has over 7,000 employees and 13 manufacturing sites in Japan, , and France.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of one of the North East's highest profile manufacturing plants as we are expanding our operations at our battery manufacturing plant in Sunderland. We are looking for an experience Facility Engineering Manager to join the team. This is a unique opportunity to join one of the most exciting, large scale industrial developments in many years, where new and emerging technologies will be adopted in support of the rapidly growing electric vehicle marketplace.

Main Objectives:
 
Managing and coordinating a team of 27 personnel made up of Managers, Lead Facility Engineers and Engineers.
 
Outline and Responsibilities:
 
To monitor the Performance of the Construction of the equipment and systems. To ensure Reliability and Maintainability through KPI's and discrete monitoring and assessment (MFMEA).
Review and Implement a Technical Installation of Process Equipment to support future Operations.
Establish an Equipment Launch Readiness Process.
To build a Facility Engineering team and assist in the development and build of the Process Facilities equipment and support facilities required for the Gigaplant to achieve its TCO (Total Cost of Ownership).
Develop and execute the Facility Engineering Strategy, including operational roadmap
Support specifying, Delivery and Implementation of a MES, ERP, BMS and PLM Systems.
Developing Technical policies and procedures for Facility Engineering.
Developing and Undertake Technical Recruitment at all Levels, supporting Operations as required.
Define Industrial Facilities Strategy - End to End Process.
Develop Documentation Structure for Technical Department covering, supporting defined KPI's.
Support development of Equipment Spares Procurement and Storage.
Recommendation of R & M Audit Process, linked to supporting Audit process.
Develop Technical Work Instructions and Methods to ensure KPI achievement.
Data Management at Shop Floor Level.
Develop a Warranty Management and service contract management Process.
Develop Facility Engineering Operations model. (Equipment, Location, Manpower).
Participate and Coordinate in Technical Discussions to fully develop BMS.
Contractor management and coordination.
Providing Technical Support to the Maintenance Department.
Agree the process entry criteria for the new Battery Plant Building.
Manage the installation contract for new process equipment.
Agree installation methods (IE Cleanroom Equipment Entry).
Manage Installation Contactor Induction (Approx 250 personnel).
Coordinate and Manage Equipment installation schedule.
Confirm Technical Files Contents to allowed Application of CE Marking.
