You will join a small team who works closely across business functions to facilitate procurement and supply chain best practice with a focus on partnering with suppliers to maximise on sustainable benefits. The business operated a highly collaborative and partnership working ethos, you will have the opportunity to represent the business at collaborative working groups focused on environmental and community focused sustainable outcomesJob DescriptionOversee and manage the procurement and supplier management activities for indirect services to maximise cost, quality and sustainability within the supply baseDevelop supplier capability including sourcing of new supply where requiredDevelop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and customersImplement new technologies to streamline and improve procurement and supply chain processesMaintain a thorough understanding of the latest trends in the industryDevelop and oversee risk management proceduresEnsure that all supply chain processes align with the organisation's sustainability goalsPrepare and present detailed reports on supplier and contract performanceProvide detailed analysis and reporting including contractual performance, supplier performance and analysis of expenditure focused on opportunities for further improvement.The Successful ApplicantThe Successful Applicant will be a Procurement and Supply Chain professional;Ideally with a relevant qualification in supply chain management or MCIPS qualificationProven experience in managing and optimising supplier performance and contract performance within a supply chain/procurement role and function with focus on cost/quality/assuranceExperience in contracts including including tendering, commercial negotiation, performance metric managementAbility to analyse data sets and produce and present reportsStrong stakeholder engagement skillsStrong communication skills, both written and verbalWhat's on OfferWhat's on OfferA competitive salary and bonus An attractive employer contributory pension schemeOpportunities for professional growth and developmentA supportive and inclusive work cultureEdinburgh location, hybrid working with excellent transport links and parking facilities
