Health Physics Surveyor - 12 Month Contract (Onsite, Thurso)We are looking for an experienced Health Physics Surveyor to join a site-based team in Thurso on a 12-month contract. This role is ideal for candidates who are available immediately and comfortable working full time on site, with some travel allowances provided.Contract Details:Location: Thurso - onsiteContract Length: 12 monthsIR35: In scopePay Rate (Umbrella): £25-£29/hourTravel & Subsistence: £75/day for those travelling outside commuting distanceRole Overview:The Health Physics Surveyor will be responsible for monitoring workplace and equipment to determine radiation levels and contamination. Key responsibilities include:Conducting radiological surveys and reporting results promptlyIssuing clearance certificates and performing radiological monitoringSelecting and operating appropriate radiological instrumentsPerforming diagnostic checks on radiological protection equipmentControlling and issuing dosimetry for high radiation areasOperating in alpha or beta-gamma radiation controlled work areasMentoring trainee staff and supporting their developmentParticipating in shift work and on-call emergency response teamsEssential Requirements:Relevant health physics monitoring experience under IRR17 regulationsCity & Guilds in Radiation Safety Practice Level 1, NVQ Level 2 in Radiation Safety, or equivalentApply: Candidates who are immediately available and willing to work on site should apply.Contact: Daniel Cordy at TEC Partners for more information and applications.
