Joining now means becoming part of a business where you’ll have real influence, visibility, and the chance to develop creative, buildable design solutions that shape future projects.About the RoleAs a Senior Design Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in developing bids, tenders and innovative design solutions for complex ground engineering schemes. Working closely with estimators, bid teams and operational engineers, you’ll ensure each proposal is both commercially competitive and technically robust.The key requirements for this Senior Design Engineer role are: Lead and contribute to technical design on ground engineering tenders and projectsReview drawings, specifications and client requirements to produce compliant and innovative design solutionsSupport estimating and pre-construction teams to plan and develop accurate technical proposalsUndertake design risk assessments and ensure compliance with design codes, standards and company proceduresPresent technical proposals to clients, design partners and operational teamsCheck and approve design work completed by other team membersProvide ongoing support to delivery teams post-award, including site visits and technical reviewsKeep up to date with new innovations, technologies and market trends within geotechnical and civil design Experience required for this Senior Design Engineer role are: Degree in Civil Engineering or similar disciplineMinimum 5 years’ experience within piling or ground engineering designWorking towards or achieved Chartered status (ICE or equivalent)Strong understanding of geotechnical foundations including load-bearing piles and retaining wallsKnowledge of design software such as WALLAP, OASYS, Repute or PlaxisFamiliarity with CDM regulations, design risk management and quality assurance processesCapable of managing workloads and meeting tight deadlinesExcellent communication and presentation skillsValid CSCS card Package and Benefits of the Senior Design Engineer role: Up to £55,000.Enhanced Company pension schemePrivate medical insurance and life assurance25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidaysProfessional development and chartership supportHybrid working opportunitiesOpportunity to work on major ground engineering and infrastructure projects
