We are seeking a skilled and motivated Town Planner to join our Manchester office. As a Town Planner, you will play a key role in shaping the future of urban and rural developments, working on a variety of projects from inception through to completion. You will collaborate with a talented team of architects, engineers, and environmental consultants to deliver high-quality planning solutions that meet the needs of our clients and the community.
Key Responsibilities:
·Conducting site appraisals, feasibility studies, and planning assessments
·Preparing and submitting planning applications, appeals, and supporting documents
·Liaising with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes
·Providing expert planning advice and guidance to multidisciplinary teams
·Conducting community consultations and engaging with the public on planning proposals
·Staying up-to-date with planning legislation, policies, and best practices
·Contributing to the development and growth of the planning team through knowledge sharing and mentorship
Qualifications and Experience:
·Degree in Town Planning or a related field
·RTPI (Royal Town Planning Institute) membership or eligibility for membership
·Proven experience in town planning, preferably within a consultancy environment
·Strong understanding of UK planning legislation and procedures
·Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
·Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
·Proficiency in planning software and tools
