As a Quality Technician, you will have the opportunity to work within a factory environment, supporting the Quality Manager to develop and maintain Product Safety and Quality systems. Your main responsibilities will include: Assisting in the implementation and maintenance of quality assurance standards on-site. Challenging packaging safety systems and reviewing and updating plans as required. Managing document control and maintaining the Product Safety and Quality Management System. Collaborating with the Quality Manager to implement internal audit programmes. Performing packaging/artwork checks, approvals, and shelf life inspections. Driving quality improvement initiatives in manufacturing and business processes. Reporting any issues in a timely manner. Ensuring proper collation and filing of documentation. Conducting daily quality control inspections on production lines. Liaising with suppliers regarding non-conforming products. Supporting the Quality Manager with any additional requests. To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience: Excellent written, numerical, and verbal communication skills. Strong numerical ability to record, interpret, and analyse key process data. Fluency in English. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Sage systems. Previous experience in a similar role or environment. HACCP/HARA certification. In addition to the qualifications, the successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills and attributes: Effective communication and presentation skills when dealing with customers and suppliers. Understanding of Food Safety and Quality Management Systems. Knowledge of food legislation and BRC Global Standard for packaging. Excellent attention to detail.
