Ocean Import Operator Maidstone £35k We are working with a global logistics organisation to recruit an experienced Ocean Import Operator. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in import operations and international logistics to join a dynamic team. Key Responsibilities Manage the end-to-end ocean import process, ensuring shipments are delivered on time and in compliance with all regulations. Liaise with carriers, shipping lines, and freight forwarders to track and manage shipments. Prepare and process import documentation, including Bills of Lading, customs declarations, and commercial invoices. Coordinate with customs brokers and internal teams to ensure smooth clearance of goods. Monitor shipment schedules, provide updates to clients, and resolve any operational issues or delays. Maintain accurate records in the company’s systems and support reporting requirements. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, carriers, and suppliers. Requirements Proven experience in ocean import operations or freight forwarding. Strong knowledge of shipping documentation, customs processes, and international trade regulations. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously. Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with CargoWise, Magaya, or similar systems is a plus. What We Offer Competitive salary up to £35,000 per year. Supportive and friendly working environment.
