We are working with a small, specialist independent school in East Sussex catering to children aged 5-11 with a range of special educational needs, including Autism and SEMH. We are now looking for an experienced and committed SEN Teacher to join a lovely school's team on a part-time basis (4 days a week).About the Role:As an SEN Teacher, you'll lead a small mixed-ability class (not grouped by age) in a setting where learning is child-centred and flexible. You'll deliver a highly engaging, creative curriculum that includes:Interactive play-based learningArts and craftsLife skills and sensory activitiesWhat We Offer:Small class sizesA collaborative team of therapists and counsellors on-site, including speech and language therapists providing 1:1 and small group supportA calm, close-knit school with fewer than 40 pupilsOngoing professional developmentA genuinely supportive and understanding environmentWhat We're Looking For:A qualified and experienced SEN TeacherProven experience supporting children with Autism and/or SEMH needsAbility to adapt lessons to suit diverse needs and developmental levelsA calm, patient and nurturing approachSomeone who values emotional development as much as academic progressA valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential due to the school's rural location)This SEN Teacher role is ideal for someone who wants to be part of a child-led, therapeutic setting where no two days are the same and the focus is on holistic progress.Not quite the right role for you?
