Job Title: Consultant Psychiatrist – CAMHS (Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services)Location: ScotlandContract Type: Full-Time, LocumDuration: 6 Months (ASAP Start)Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM Job Description:An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Psychiatrist with a specialist interest in CAMHS to join a dedicated and supportive team in Scotland. This full-time locum role is available for an immediate start and will run for an initial period of 6 months, with potential for extension. Key Responsibilities: Provide expert psychiatric care to children and adolescents within a multidisciplinary team setting Conduct assessments, formulate diagnoses, and develop comprehensive treatment plans Offer clinical leadership and support to junior medical staff and other professionals Collaborate with families, schools, and community services to ensure holistic patient care Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation Requirements: Full GMC registration with a license to practise CCT in Psychiatry with a subspecialty in CAMHS (or equivalent) Section 12 approval and Approved Clinician status (desirable) Previous experience in a similar consultant role within CAMHS Excellent communication and teamworking skills Benefits: Competitive locum rates Assistance with travel and accommodation (if required) Dedicated recruitment consultant support throughout your placement Start Date: ASAP If you’re a passionate and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist ready to make a meaningful impact in CAMHS, we’d love to hear from you.
