Logistics/Forklift Operator Location: Slough, UK Contract Type: Permanent Salary/ Benefits * Shift work (2 or 3 shift model depending on business needs) - 42.5 hour week, paid 40 hour , 30 mins unpaid lunch * 2 shifts (6am - 2.30pm / 1.30pm - 10pm) 3 shifts (6am - 2.30pm / 1.30pm - 10pm / 9.30pm - 6am) * Salary hourly £13.92 - £14.76 depending on experience and number of licences * Yearly salary including shift £28,.60 to £30,.80 * 25 days holiday * Onsite carparking * Great progression opportunities Are you an experienced Logistics/Forklift Operator looking for a new opportunity in the manufacturing industry? Our client, a leading organisation in the field, is seeking a skilled operator to join their dynamic logistics team. Responsibilities: * Follow all Health & Safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment. * Report any Health & Safety issues to your line manager promptly. * Issue material to the line side efficiently. * Use Syteline procedures to ensure proper handling of materials. * Collect bulk material from the machines and locate it in the designated areas. * Conduct weekly stock checks of bulk material to maintain accurate inventory. * Move material for quality technicians and supervisors as required. * Sort waste into the correct waste stream to contribute to a sustainable environment. * Communicate with the warehouse and logistics manager regarding waste collection needs. * Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the yard and line side. * Load waste material onto appropriate collection vehicles. * Complete all necessary paperwork for collections, deliveries, and Goods In. * Ensure all finished goods are checked, packed, and loaded as per the collection schedule. * Assist with Goods-In loading, booking, and put away. * Keep all equipment clean, tidy, and report any issues. * Be open to other tasks as requested by your line manager. Essential Skills and Characteristics: * Be a flexible individual who is adaptable to different work situations. * Possess good communication skills in both written and spoken English. * Hold valid forklift counterbalance, reach, and pivot/Bendi certificates. * Have the ability to lift up to 20 Kgs. * Work well independently as well as part of a team. * Excel at multitasking and prioritise tasks efficiently. * Possess basic computer knowledge. * Ability to read, understand, and follow Standard Operating Procedures. * Willingness to work in a shift model (2 or 3 shifts), totaling 42.5 hours per week (paid 40 hours). * Flexibility to work overtime on weekends, if required. Location and Relationships: * This position is based at our client's facility in Slough, UK. * You will be an individual contributor with no supervisory responsibility.
