About the role SEND Teaching Assistant (Full-time, Temporary)Gateshead, NE9£440 - £460 per week (salary is depending on experience and/or qualifications)January 2026 – July 2026The School and RoleThis Primary School in Gateshead (NE9) is currently recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to work on a full-time basis from January 2026. The SEND Teaching Assistant appointed for the role will be working on a 1:1 basis with a pupil in Year 2, who has Autism. Due to the nature of the role, some experience of working with pupils with additional needs is desired. This is a ‘Good’ Primary School, where all children are given the opportunity to grow and develop at school.Requirements The desired SEND Teaching Assistant will have;- Experience of working with primary school aged children- Experience of working with pupils with SEND- A passion for the progress of primary school pupils- An ability to work as part of a teamWhat we offerAs a SEND Teaching Assistant, part of our team, you benefit from: Excellent daily rates paid using the PAYE system.
