Your newpany You will be joining an industry-leading contractor based in Derby operating within the highways industry. Well-known for their collaborative culture andmitment to progressive change, this multi-accredited contractor is appointed on multiple major highways frameworks across England and Wales and as they continue to grow, they are looking for amercially focused Quantity Surveyor to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make your mark in a business that values agility, transparency and innovation.This is a full-time permanent position based out of their Derby office (40 hours per week) with hybrid working and occasional site visits.Your new role As Quantity Surveyor, you’ll be themercial lead for your business area, providing essential financial and contractual support across projects in England and Wales. You’ll work closely with operational teams, ensuring accurate cost-value reporting and maintaining strong client relationships.Key responsibilities include:Financial management and valuation of highways projectsMonthly cost-value reconciliation and reportingSupporting site and office teams on contract andmercial mattersAttending client meetings and site visits to provide hands-on supportDriving continuous improvement and implementing ideas that enhance performance.What you'll need to succeed In order to be successful, you will bring:Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the highways and/or local authority sectorsSound understanding of cost-value reporting and project financialsWorking knowledge of NEC form of contract, ideally NEC4 (Options B and C)Excellentmunication skills and confidence in client-facing situationsA proactive mindset and the ability to work collaboratively across teamsFull UK driving licence.What you'll get in return In return, you will receive:Starting salary up to £60,000 per annum25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidaysHybrid and flexible working (3 days’ office, 2 days’ remote)Life assuranceShare saver schemeFamily-friendly benefitsRetail discountsExposure to high-profile and rewarding projectsSupportive and collaborative team environmentOpportunity to grow and advance your career with an industry-leading contractor and more.
