Description Senior Estimator – Civil Engineering | Wakefield | £60,000 – £70,000 + Package Location: Wakefield, West YorkshireSalary: £00,000 – £70,000 per annum (DOE) + Car Allowance + Benefits About the CompanyOur client is a leading civil engineering contractor with an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality infrastructure and framework projects across Yorkshire and the North of England. With a strong pipeline of work across highways, active travel, public realm and infrastructure, they are now looking to strengthen their pre-construction team with an experienced Estimator. The RoleAs an Estimator, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of tender submissions and project costings. Working closely with senior management, engineers, and clients, you will be responsible for preparing accurate estimates across a range of civil engineering projects. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for civil engineering and infrastructure projectsAnalyse drawings, specifications, and contract documents to produce bills of quantities and take-offsLiaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricingIdentify cost risks and value engineering opportunitiesAssist in the preparation and submission of tendersSupport the commercial team during project handover and delivery About You Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Estimator within the civil engineering or groundworks sectorStrong understanding of infrastructure, highways and public realmProficient in estimating software and MS ExcelExcellent analytical and communication skillsHNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related discipline (preferred) What’s on Offer Competitive salary up to £60,000 (DOE)Company car or car allowancePensionOngoing professional development and progression opportunitiesSupportive and collaborative working environment ??
