Position: Specialist Registrar (SpR) in Care of the Elderly Medicine Location: London, UK Contract Type: Fixed-Term Contract (with a view to extend) Duration: 24th June 2024 – 6th August 2024 (initially) Hours: 09:00 – 17:00, Full Rota covering days On-Call: To be discussed at point of booking Start Date: 24th June 2024 About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Specialist Registrar (SpR) in Care of the Elderly Medicine to join our team in London. This is a full-time position available from 24th June 2024 to 6th August 2024, with the potential for extension. The successful candidate will work from 09:00 to 17:00, covering a full rota opportunity, including days. Key Responsibilities: Provide high-quality care to elderly patients. Conduct comprehensive geriatric assessments and develop management plans. Manage acute and chronic medical conditions in elderly patients. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care. Participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, and case discussions. Maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records. Adhere to clinical guidelines and best practices in geriatric medicine. Requirements: Medical degree and full GMC registration. Experience in geriatric medicine at the registrar level. Strong clinical and diagnostic skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
