Autism Specialist Teaching Assistant (ARP) Location: North Tyneside Pay: £90–£115 per day (PAYE) Contract: Full-time, Long-Term Start: ImmediateAbout the Role We’re looking for a calm, confident, and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join an Additional Resource Provision (ARP) within a warm, inclusive secondary school in North Tyneside. You’ll be part of a small, dedicated team supporting students with autism, helping them thrive both in and out of the classroom.No two days are the same here. Some moments are challenging, but every one of them matters. You’ll be the steady, reassuring presence that helps students feel safe, supported, and ready to learn.What You’ll Be Doing Supporting pupils with autism across Key Stages 3 and 4 within the ARP Using tailored strategies to promote communication, focus, and confidence Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, and therapists to adapt learning plans Encouraging independence and celebrating every small success Helping create a calm, structured learning environment where every child feels valued About the School This inclusive North Tyneside secondary school is passionate about helping every young person achieve their best.
