Key Responsibilities as Lead Engineer will be to:
* Be the frontline expert for all engineering needs, providing creative and practical solutions.
* Optimise machine availability and establish a robust maintenance schedule in line with TPM principles.
* Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of best practices and continuous improvement.
* Work with production teams to ensure seamless operations and hit internal KPIs.
* Build strong relationships with suppliers to reduce reliance and control maintenance costs through root cause problem-solving.
What We're Looking For:
* Someone with a background in electrical and mechanical engineering.
* Hands-on experience with complex electro-mechanical products in fast-paced, made-to-order manufacturing.
* Strong problem-solving mindset, lean manufacturing expertise, and proficiency with 5S principles.
* A self-starter who thrives on influencing through example and builds effective relationships across teams.
The successful candidate will have : -
* A passion for clean, efficient, and innovative work environments.
* Proven ability to deliver cost savings through efficiency improvements.
* Effective communication and decision-making skills with a flair for creative problem-solving.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and process mapping software.
On offer: -
* A salary circa £47,500
* 7am-3pm/10am-6pm rotating shifts - Monday-Friday
* 28 days holiday, increasing with service
