Secondary Cover Supervisor - Rotherham

Academics are currently recruiting for a Secondary Cover Supervisor in Rotherham to start working with our client partner schools as soon as possible. Academics are one of the UK's largest, leading education recruitment agencies offering a daily rate of £90 - £120 per day depending on your experience in the role and the requirements.
The role of a Secondary Cover Supervisor is perfect for someone who is degree-level trained and considering a career in teaching. It also suits individuals with experience working with children or teenagers previously in settings such as tutoring, summer camps, youth work, or extracurricular clubs for example. This position allows you to work directly in schools, gaining valuable classroom experience.

Supervise and cover pre-planned lessons across a range of subjects.
Ensure all students are engaged and set high expectations to promote positive learning.
Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policy, creating a safe and productive learning environment.
Communicate with class teachers and other staff to report on student progress or pass on important messages.
Uphold the school's safeguarding policy - safeguarding is everyone's responsibility.The ideal candidate for this role will:
Have strong communication skills.
Be flexible, adaptable, and able to use their initiative.
Work well as part of a team.
Be reliable, punctual, and professional in their approach.
