The School and Role

ABC Teachers is seeking a committed and adaptable Cover Supervisors to support our client secondary schools in Quinton and the surrounding areas. This role offers the chance to lead and inspire students across a variety of subjects, maintaining a positive learning environment in the absence of regular teaching staff. Perfect for aspiring teachers or experienced educators seeking flexible work, this position allows you to make a meaningful impact on students’ lives without the full planning and marking responsibilities.

You will be working in dynamic school communities that are dedicated to nurturing a positive learning environment and supporting the academic growth of students. Located in the vibrant area of Quinton and surrounding areas, our partner secondary schools are well-regarded for their inclusive culture and commitment to student development. With a supportive staff team and a focus on delivering high-quality education, these schools provide an excellent platform for aspiring teachers and education professionals to build their careers.

Deliver pre-prepared lessons to students aged 11-16 across various subjects.
Maintain classroom order and ensure students remain focused on their learning tasks.
Provide feedback to teaching staff on lesson progress and student behaviour.
Uphold school policies and values, promoting respect and engagement.

Requirements

The successful Cover Supervisor will have;

Confidence in managing a classroom and engaging with students.
Strong communication skills and adaptability.
Previous experience in a school or educational setting (desirable).
A passion for education and making a positive difference.
Ability to obtain suitable references, a valid DBS Check and hold the Right to Work in the UK (ABC Teachers do not offer sponsorship)
*All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
