MEICA Estimator – Tier 1 Contractor – Water Sector

GRS is representing a Tier 1 water client who specialises in MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation) delivery. They have key roles within their estimating department and are looking for a MEICA Estimator to support the delivery of sustainable water and wastewater treatment solutions across various frameworks in the UK.

This role is flexible with hybrid working available. You can choose to work from their London or Dartford offices, ensuring a great balance of home and office work.

Duties include:

* Working closely within a bid team to prepare analytical estimates.

* Developing and pricing preliminaries in conjunction with the Tender Planner.

* Presenting estimates at bid team meetings and contributing to final settlement.

* Preparing quantities from drawings and specifications.

* Conducting technical and commercial appraisals of material and subcontractor quotations.

* Creating analytical estimates, including detailed appraisals of construction plant and temporary works.

* Working to strict deadlines and contributing to value-engineered solutions.

* Participating in the preparation of submission documents and pricing risks.

* Using estimating software for estimate preparation and contributing to capital expenditure forecasts.

* Attending site visits during tender periods.

Person Specification:

* Degree/HND/HNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.

* Strong ability to interpret and explain technical instructions.
