Location: Newcastle

Salary: £87 - £108 per day(Depending on experience)

As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of students in the classroom. You will assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons, providing tailored support to students, and creating a positive learning environment for all.

About The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide valuable support to the teaching staff in a secondary school setting. Your role will involve assisting with lesson delivery, supporting students’ academic progress, and helping with classroom management. This is an ideal opportunity for a graduate who is passionate about education and keen to make a difference in the classroom.

Responsibilities Of The Teaching Assistant

  • Support teachers in planning and delivering lessons.
  • Assist students with their work, providing tailored support to meet individual learning needs.
  • Help manage the classroom, ensuring students are focused and engaged.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who need extra help.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist with marking and preparing resources for lessons.
  • Promote positive behaviour and help students reach their full potential.

Requirements For The Teaching Assistant Role

  • A degree in a relevant subject or field.
  • Passion for education and working with young people.
  • Experience working in schools or with young people is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work well as part of a team.
  • A proactive attitude and a willingness to support students in their learning.
  • The ability to adapt and be flexible in a dynamic school environment.
