Job Title: EYFS (Reception) Teacher

Location: Hull

Salary Range: £120 - £184.88 per day (Depending on experience)

 Start time: ASAP

Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a creative and passionate Reception Teacher to join our Early Years team. As a Reception Teacher, you will play a key role in creating an inspiring and secure environment where young children can thrive academically and socially.

Responsibilities Of The EYFS (Reception) Teacher

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Create a safe, welcoming, and stimulating classroom environment that supports the learning and well-being of every child.
  • Assess and monitor children’s progress through observations, formative assessments, and the EYFS profile, adapting teaching methods as needed.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, helping them build confidence and social skills.
  • Collaborate with parents/guardians to keep them informed about their child's development and offer guidance on how they can support learning at home.
  • Work as part of a team with other teaching staff and support staff to develop cohesive and innovative teaching plans.
  • Uphold the highest standards of safeguarding, child protection, and health and safety in the classroom.

Requirements Of The Year 3 Teacher

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching qualifications in early childhood education.
  • Proven experience teaching in the EYFS or areception class setting.
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and the ability to create age-appropriate lesson plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Creativity and enthusiasm to inspire young learners and make learning fun.
  • Commitment to providing inclusive education and catering to the diverse needs of all students.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding practices and child protection policies.
  • Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
