The Role

They are looking for an ambitious Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. This role is perfect for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor ready to take the next step in their career. You will be working closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor, supporting the delivery of complex and high-profile fitout projects across the UK.

Your main responsibilities will include:

* Cost management: Assisting in the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tenders for various fitout projects.

* Site visits: Conducting site visits to assess progress, gather data, and liaise with site teams to ensure projects are on track.

* Procurement and contracts: Assisting in the procurement of subcontractors and suppliers, preparing and reviewing contracts, and managing variations and claims.

* Reporting and communication: Working closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor to prepare accurate reports for senior management and clients. You will also communicate regularly with project teams, ensuring smooth project delivery.

* Cost control: Monitoring project costs, identifying risks or issues, and helping find cost-effective solutions.

* Joinery focus: A background in joinery will be an advantage, as you will be involved in projects that require a strong understanding of this area within fitout.

* Experience: You are an Assistant Quantity Surveyor ready for your next challenge and looking to step into a more senior role. Experience in joinery, fitout, or related fields is highly beneficial.

* Education: A degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline is essential.

* Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members.

* Eagerness to learn and develop professionally, with a passion for the construction and fitout industry.

* A keen eye for detail and a strong understanding of cost control, project management, and construction processes.
