Design & Technology Technician - Immediate Start (Full-time, Long-term)

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Design & Technology (DT) Technician to join our vibrant and supportive team at a mainstream secondary school in Southwark. This is a full-time, long-term role, offering an excellent opportunity to be a part of a dynamic department in a thriving educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Support the teaching staff in the preparation and delivery of practical lessons across a range of Design & Technology subjects.
Maintain and organise the DT equipment, tools, and materials, ensuring they are safe and in good working condition.
Assist with setting up and clearing down practical activities and ensuring classrooms and workshops are well-stocked.
Help students with technical tasks and provide support during practical sessions.
Ensure health and safety guidelines are followed at all times, particularly within the workshop and practical areas.
Contribute to the overall administration of the department, including stock control and ordering of materials.Requirements:

Experience in a technical or support-based role is preferred, but not essential.
A keen interest in Design & Technology and the desire to support students in practical learning.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A valid DBS on the update service is required.What We Offer:
