Senior Controls Engineer

Salary: c£55k + Benefits

Location: Leicestershire, Warwickshire

Our client is a leading systems integrator, suppling large blue chip companies with best in class automation. With decades of experience and high customer retention rates they are a proven partner for companies seeking to enhance their production lines. As they continue to grow and with full order books for 2025 they are actively seeking a Senior Controls Engineer. They are very flexible when it comes to candidates experience and will consider PLC Programmers/ Commissioning Engineers from within FMCG, Food, Distribution or even Water Treatment backgrounds. However they are looking for candidates who have extensive experience designing PLCs from Concept and will not consider candidates who can only make high level modifications to existing programs.

The Senior Controls Engineer will do:

PLC Programming - writing & developing code - Rockwell, Siemens etc..
Developing functional design specifications and documentation for new projects (FDS)
Reviewing project specifications and determining project requirements
Designing SCADA systems and HMi's from concept
End to End project involvement, including some commissioningThe Senior Controls Engineer will have:

Excellent PLC programming experience - Rockwell, Siemens essential
PLC / SCADA system design & development
Extensive Industrial communications experience - ProfiBus, Ethernet, DeviceNet
