Industrial Sewing Machinist

We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operating various machining tools and equipment, ensuring precision and quality in the production of components. This role requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Experience in a warehouse setting and familiarity with sewing machinery will be advantageous.

Duties

* Operate and maintain a variety of machining tools, including lathes, milling machines, and grinders.

* Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications to produce high-quality components.

* Conduct regular inspections of machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety.

* Perform routine maintenance on equipment to prevent downtime.

* Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines.

* Maintain a clean and organised workspace in compliance with health and safety regulations.

* Assist in training new staff on machining processes and safety protocols.

Experience

* Proven experience as a Machinist or similar role within a manufacturing or warehouse environment.

* Familiarity with sewing machinery is preferred but not essential.

* Strong understanding of machining processes, tools, and equipment.

* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

* Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
