Quantity Surveyor

First People Solutions is currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor on behalf of an established civils contractor based in Ayrshire. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a family run company renowned for delivering high-quality civil engineering and rail infrastructure projects across Scotland.

The Role:

Reporting into the Commercial Director, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial and contractual success of a variety of civil and rail projects. From tendering through to project completion, you will work closely with project teams to deliver cost-effective and commercially sound outcomes.

Responsibilities:

Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts and subcontracts.
Manage project budgets and prepare accurate cost forecasts.
Measure and value work completed on-site and ensure timely payments.
Provide commercial advice and support to project teams.
Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities.
Produce detailed reports on project performance and profitability.What We're Looking For:

Proven experience in Quantity Surveying within civil engineering, rail, or related sectors.
Strong understanding of NEC contracts.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
A degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline.What's on Offer:
