Behaviour-Focused Teaching Assistant - Secondary School in Hounslow

Veritas Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Behaviour-Focused Teaching Assistant to join a prestigious secondary school in Hounslow, starting ASAP. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supporting students with additional needs, excellent behaviour management skills, and a passion for helping students achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Support students with special educational needs (SEN), focusing on behaviour and emotional development
Implement behaviour management strategies to encourage positive behaviour
Work closely with teachers to provide tailored support to students both inside and outside the classroom
Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment
Support individual students or small groups, providing interventions where needed
Assist with the delivery of educational plans, ensuring students remain engaged and on trackRequirements:

Previous SEN experience (desirable but not essential)
Strong behaviour management skills and ability to de-escalate challenging situations
Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting students with diverse needs
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
