Role Overview:
The Fire Safety Surveyor will play a critical role in assessing and improving the safety and compliance of buildings. From conducting fire door inspections to evaluating fire compartmentation, this role offers the chance to make a real impact on the safety of various properties, including residential apartments, social housing, student accommodations, and healthcare facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough fire door inspections, compartmentation surveys, and other fire safety assessments.
Engage professionally with residents and clients during on-site visits to ensure understanding and satisfaction.
Identify fire safety risks, assess existing measures, and provide clear recommendations for improvements.
Prepare comprehensive and concise reports detailing findings and actionable recommendations.
Stay current with fire safety regulations and industry best practices to enhance service quality.The Ideal Candidate:
Holds relevant qualifications in fire safety, building surveying, or a related field.
Has proven experience in fire safety surveying, including fire door and compartmentation assessments.
Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills and is comfortable working independently.
Is field-ready to cover Central and Greater London, with occasional travel further afield.
Possesses a full driver’s license (up to 6 penalty points) and is open to overnight stays when required.
Is willing to undergo a DBS Enhanced Check (arranged by the company).
