About the role:
This is an exciting part-time opportunity for a Key Stage 2 (KS2) Teacher to join a supportive and thriving team. The role is available from January 2025 due to a teacher moving on to a new opportunity, and the school is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher to continue the excellent work already in progress.
As a KS2 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons to a class of up to 30 students. You will be expected to plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons that align with the National Curriculum, supporting students’ development in both academic and personal growth. The position is for 3 days a week, with flexible scheduling to allow a good work-life balance. The school is looking for someone who is passionate about education and eager to make a difference in students’ lives.
Application Requirements:
• A recognised teaching qualification (QTS) and experience teaching Key Stage 2 students.
• A strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and an understanding of how to apply it effectively in the classroom.
• Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive, engaging learning environment.
• Experience working with children with SEN or the willingness to learn and work closely with the school’s SENCO to support a range of needs.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, as you will be working closely with other teachers, support staff, and parents.
Key Responsibilities:
• Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
• Assessing and tracking student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
• Supporting the personal, social, and emotional development of students.
• Differentiating your teaching to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with additional learning needs.
• Collaborating with the wider school team to enhance the educational experience for all students.
Perks and Benefits:
This role stands out due to the excellent work-life balance it offers. The school’s commitment to a flexible part-time schedule will allow you to pursue professional interests or enjoy personal time outside of school.
In addition, you will receive:
• Competitive daily rate (£160-£210 per day)
• Supportive staff and a friendly, inclusive school environment
• Access to professional development and training opportunities
• Onsite parking and easy access to public transport
• Opportunities to contribute to a variety of extracurricular activities.
