Job Title: Drivers Mate / Porter / Drivers Assistant
Location: Theale

Hours: 6am or 10:30am starts

Pay: £12.34/hour for 6am and £12.59/hour for 10:30am starts

Overtime rates: £18.51 - 6am starts, £18.88- 10:30am starts - (Applies when working a 5th shift in the same week)

Corr Recruitment is partnering with a leading home delivery department store chain specializing in home furnishings, accessories, and electronics. We are seeking reliable and motivated Drivers Mates, Porters, and Drivers Assistants to join their team on a Temp-to-Perm or ongoing basis.

Key Details:

* Location: Theale

* Work Type: Adhoc shifts, 2-5 per week (typically 4 shifts per week)

* Transport: You must have your own transport for this role

* Requirement: Successful completion of an induction is required to secure the role

* Saturday Work: Must be available to work at least 2 Saturdays a month

Tasks and Duties:

* Assist the driver in the safe and efficient delivery of packages to customers' homes within the Theale area.

* Communicate with customers regarding estimated delivery times and confirm access details.

* Load and unload delivery vehicles professionally and efficiently, ensuring care for goods.

* Provide excellent customer service, ensuring all deliveries are friendly and timely.

* Maintain accurate delivery records and reports as required.

* Comply with all traffic laws and company safety regulations.

* Use a handheld device to notify customers when you are en route.

* Enter customers’ homes to assemble furniture when needed.

Requirements / Skills:

* Previous experience in furniture delivery or handling heavy goods is advantageous.

* Proven ability to meet deadlines consistently.

* Presentable appearance to represent the company positively.

* Strong communication skills with a friendly and professional attitude.

* Willingness to comply with random drug and alcohol testing.

* A team player with a proactive and reliable work ethic.
