About the Role:

This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with a passion for Design Technology to work in a creative and dynamic school environment, helping students bring their ideas to life.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and maintain DT equipment, tools, and resources for classes.
Assist teachers in setting up practical lessons and demonstrations.
Ensure all machinery and equipment are regularly serviced, maintained, and meet health and safety standards.
Support students during practical work, offering guidance on techniques and safe use of equipment.
Manage stock levels of materials and tools, and place orders when necessary.
Ensure the DT workshop and classroom areas are clean, organized, and well-maintained.

Requirements:

Experience in a similar role or relevant technical background in Design Technology.
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in a workshop environment.
Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Enthusiasm for working with young people and supporting their learning journey.

Desirable Skills:

Proficiency in using a range of DT equipment, including hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
Knowledge of materials and processes, particularly woodwork, metalwork, and plastics.
Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Autodesk, SolidWorks) is a plus.
