Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Brighton & Hove area
Salary: £85 -£90 per day
Contract: Flexible, Supply / Temporary / Bank Staff
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm

About Us:
We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our bank of Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistants. As part of our flexible workforce, you will be called upon to support schools in the Brighton & Hove area on a short-term or temporary basis, providing essential support to students with special educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide tailored support to students with a range of special educational needs, including autism, learning disabilities, ADHD, and physical disabilities.

* Assist the classroom teacher in creating an inclusive learning environment, adapting materials and resources to meet individual needs.

* Offer one-to-one or small group support to students, helping them engage with the curriculum and achieve their full potential.

* Support with personal care tasks if required, ensuring the dignity and well-being of students.

* Implement and follow individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour plans, working closely with teachers and SENCOs.

* Promote positive behaviour and social interaction among students, fostering a safe and supportive classroom environment.

* Monitor and report on student progress, highlighting any areas of concern to the relevant staff.

About You:
To succeed in this role, you will need to be patient, compassionate, and adaptable, with a genuine passion for supporting young people with special educational needs. You will also be flexible and able to work in different schools and settings on short notice.

Essential Requirements:

* Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.

* A flexible and proactive approach to working in different schools and classrooms.

* Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

* A clear DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check or willingness to undergo one.
