Maintenance Plumber - Social Housing

Location: West Midlands, West Midlands, Hay Mills

Job Type: Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours

Salary: £20 - £20 Per hour

Job Duties:

Carry out planned and reactive plumbing maintenance in social housing properties
Diagnose and repair plumbing issues such as leaks, blockages, and faulty fixtures
Install new plumbing systems and fixtures as needed
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
Complete necessary paperwork and documentation accurately

Required Qualifications:

Valid Plumbing qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 2)
Gas Safe Register certification
Full UK driving licence
Experience working in social housing maintenance

Education:

Minimum of GCSEs in Maths and English
Relevant plumbing qualifications

Experience:

Proven experience as a Maintenance Plumber in social housing settings
Experience with diagnosing and repairing plumbing issues
Knowledge of relevant regulations and best practises

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong plumbing skills and technical knowledge
Excellent problem-solving abilities
Good communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional plumbing certifications or training
Experience with heating systems maintenance

Working Conditions:

Work primarily in social housing properties in the West Midlands area
May require occasional evening or weekend work for emergency repairs
Physical demands including lifting, bending, and working in confined spaces
Use of personal protective equipment when necessary
