Long Term Futures Recruitment is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in B19, Birmingham. This role involves supporting students across resource bases, helping them to reach their full potential in an inclusive and supportive environment.
Start: January 2025
Location: B19, Birmingham
Daily Rate: £95 - £105
Days: Full Time, Monday - Friday, Term Time Only
Hours: 8:30am - 3:45pm
Key Responsibilities:
Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs across resource bases.
Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs, ensuring all pupils can access the curriculum effectively.
Deliver focused interventions in areas such as phonics and reading to support student progress.
Build positive relationships with students, staff, and families to promote an inclusive and collaborative learning environment.
Support pupils with additional needs, including Autism (ASD) and ADHD, through individual and small group sessions.
Work closely with the teaching team to ensure effective implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
Requirements:
A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or degree.
Experience working in a school environment, particularly with children who have SEND.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and staff.
A patient and adaptable approach, with the ability to respond flexibly to student needs.
