Position Overview:

They are actively seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Estimator to join our dynamic team in Hampshire. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating for high-end residential (essential) and commercial projects (preferred), with the ability to hit the ground running. This role will be integral to the company operations, as you will lead and build an estimating team around you, fostering a collaborative environment focused on excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for residential refurbishment and commercial fit-out projects.
- Analyse project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine project requirements and scope.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimates.
- Identify and quantify all cost factors, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of costs and pricing for materials and labor.
- Assist in the preparation of tender submissions and proposals.
- Review and assess subcontractor quotes, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
- Monitor project costs and provide regular updates to project teams and management.
- Lead the estimating team, providing mentorship and guidance to junior estimators.
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to strategic planning and decision-making.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and new materials.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as an Estimator in high-end residential market
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Relevant degree or certification in construction management, quantity surveying, or related field is preferred.
