Science Cover Supervisor - Secondary School - Immediate Start

Location: Bulwell, Nottingham (NG6)

Pay: £450 - £500 per week take home.

Work pattern: Monday - Friday 08:30 - 16:00

Contract: Immediate start. Initially for the rest of the academic year with a potential to extend.

Are you a Science teacher or graduate with experience teaching/tutoring key stage 3 and 4 students? Do you have a passion for supporting their learning in a secondary school environment? LTF Recruitment is seeking a Science Cover Supervisor for a forward-thinking secondary school in Bulwell, Nottingham.

This long-term role offers the chance to gain valuable classroom experience, ideal for Science graduates considering a career in teaching or for individuals already experienced in working with young people. As a Cover Supervisor, you will ensure the smooth running of classes in the absence of regular teachers, managing behaviour and delivering pre-set lessons.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver pre-planned/your lessons to students in Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) across various subjects.
Ensure classroom behaviour is managed effectively, maintaining a positive learning environment.
Support students with any questions or concerns they may have during the lesson.
Monitor student progress and ensure they stay focused on the assigned tasks.
Provide feedback inline with the department policy.
Support the school with additional duties, including break and lunchtime supervision.Essential Criteria:

Previous experience working with young people in a secondary school setting as teacher or tutor.
A Science teaching qualification or Science degree.
Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A positive and flexible attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving
