Hunter AHP Resourcing is seeking an experienced Locum Dispensary Pharmacist to join the pharmacy team at a reputable NHS hospital in Essex. This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist looking to work in a busy NHS environment, offering an immediate start with a competitive pay rate.

Key Details:

Position: Locum Dispensary Pharmacist
Location: NHS Hospital, Essex
Pay Rate: £24 to £28 per hour (depending on experience)
Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday. Part-time availability can be considered
Start Date: ASAP (ongoing assignment)
Experience Level: Hospital pharmacy or dispensary experience is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:

Accurately dispensing prescriptions for inpatients and outpatients within the hospital setting
Supporting the preparation and dispensing of medicines, including controlled drugs
Ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of medicines to wards and departments
Checking prescription forms for accuracy and legal compliance
Managing dispensary stock and assisting with stock control
Liaising with hospital staff, including doctors and nurses, to ensure optimal use of medications
Providing advice and guidance on the safe and effective use of medicines
Assisting with audits and ensuring compliance with NHS guidelines and regulatory standards
Supporting the dispensary team and contributing to the smooth running of the department
Requirements:

GPhC registration
Previous experience working in a hospital dispensary or equivalent setting
Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical legislation and NHS protocols
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Must be eligible to work in the UK
