Early Years Practitioner (Special Educational Needs)
Location: Private Day Nursery, Pudsey, Leeds
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Are you a kind, patient, and compassionate individual with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are looking for an Early Years Practitioner to join our dedicated team at a private day nursery in Pudsey, Leeds, to provide one-to-one support for children with a variety of needs, including Autism, Speech and Language difficulties, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one support to children with special educational needs in a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment.
Develop and implement individualized learning plans to meet the specific needs of each child.
Support the child's social, emotional, and developmental growth, ensuring they feel valued and understood.
Work closely with other team members, parents, and external professionals to monitor progress and adapt strategies as needed.
Assist in the delivery of a broad and balanced early years curriculum tailored to each child's abilities and needs.
Encourage positive behaviour and provide emotional support to help children build confidence and develop key skills.The Ideal Candidate Will:

Have experience working with children, particularly those with special educational needs.
Demonstrate a calm, patient, and empathetic approach to working with children.
Be passionate about making a positive difference in the lives of children with SEN.
Possess a good understanding of the needs of children with Autism, Speech and Language difficulties, and SEMH.
Hold relevant qualifications in early years education or special educational needs (or be willing to work towards them).
Be a team player with strong communication skills and the ability to work independently when required.Benefits:
