A popular school located in Harlow is interested in securing a Geography teacher to join their team. This Ofsted Good, mixed secondary school is seeking a teacher of Geography on a full-time. The school is in Harlow which is walking distance to a range of transport links, shops and amenities.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL AND THE TEACHER ROLE:

A medium-size secondary school
To assist the Head of Department in ensuring that teaching in your subject is of high quality and contributes to the departments improvement plan.
To participate in staff development activities provided within the department and whole school.
To deliver, as directed, syllabuses, resources, schemes of work, assessment and marking policies and teaching strategies so that student needs can be met.
To report student progress in your subject to the Head of Department and to parents/carers.

FOR THE RIGHT GEOGRAPHY TEACHER WILL BE:

Confident with teaching Geography to an A level standard
Creative, patient and willing to think outside of the box
Degree relating to Geography teacher
Teaching qualification
Eligibility to work in the UK
Be able to provide teaching references for the last 2 years
A fully enhanced DBS on the online update service

SUCCESSFUL TEACHER WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

Will have a passion for learning and teaching
Believes in the right of every student to fulfil their potential
Is or has the potential to be an outstanding practitioner, with the energy to inspire, motivate and challenge students
