Tier 1 Building Contractor urgently require a Planning Manager to work on site on a £350m newbuild of science blocks and warehouses.

Reporting to the Project Director, you will be an expert in identifying planning scope, major constraints and contractual requirements alongside identifying major quantities and factors affecting the programme

Lead the planning processes, oversee the development of key deliverables such as programs, planning philosophy, presentations and reports. Ensure the planners are formulating tender programmes, ensuring alignment with goals of the company.

Offer strategic guidance throughout the contract stage, overseeing the Senior Planner and planning team in producing, managing, and maintaining the contract programme.

Share and evaluate the project critical path, advising the project team of the results and any corrective action alongside producing and maintaining project baselines.

Utilise expertise in managing labour, equipment and materials efficiently to meet project objectives while minimizing costs and delays.

Manage contracts with sub-contractors and suppliers, monitoring performance, and resolving contract-related issues.

Aid the planning team to produce project data and key performance indicators / KPIs to track progress, identify deviations, and make data-driven decisions for project improvement.

This is a new and exciting role we have on with our clients the succesful candidate will need to have:

Project Controls experience on major building projects with complex services such as hospitals and science wing laboratories

Excellent Communication skills and understanding of management data and processes

Negotiation and Conflict resolution

Proficient on Primavera P6 or ASTA

Advantageous to have MEPH, systems, interfaces, installation, testing and commissioning.
