Our client has over 70 years of experience in the manufacture of mechanical and electromechanical transmission products, and thety are ciurrently looking for a new production assistant to help on their shop flloor.

Their product range consists of:

- Industrial Gears

JOB PURPOSE

* To be competent in disassembling industrial gearboxes & evaluating failure modes

* Competent in repair of poor state gearboxes & able to rebuild industrial gearboxes

* Able to work on small to large industrial gearboxes

* Attend customers site, work on site and deal with customers face to face

* General housekeeping and 5S projects

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Service strip and repair

* Disassemble small to large industrial gearboxes of varying types

* Able to diagnose and report findings from gearbox strip

* Warranty investigation

* Repair and rebuild units as per production order instructions

* Carry out testing of repaired units, test once rebuilt and produce automated test report

* Heavy/technical builds

* Assist with building of standard Radicon products as and when required by the business

* Personnel development

* Able to work with, mentor and share skills with junior shopfloor staff

* Assist with new starter integration to the business

* Knowledge sharing approach with less skilled employees

* Project assessment analysis

* May be required to attend customers site and support Radicon sales staff

* Able to conduct Pre site checks

* Project planning support

* Site Service Engineer

* Provide on-site product support and installation

* Identify, analyse and repair product failure

* Communicate and co-ordinate failure response

* Provide technical product training and basic user functionality training to customer base

* Completion of site visit reports

* Identify risks and methods to be employed for site work

* Work to risk assessment method statements

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
